The Finnerty-Gordon Project

CD party! The Finnerty/Gordon Project has just released its first album, recorded live right here at The Side Door! They will be celebrating with a mix of tunes from the CD, and new compositions. The group once again features Darius Babazadeh on the tenor sax, and Tyler Miles on the bass.

Guitarist Barry Finnerty is an internationally acclaimed jazz and fusion guitarist featured with Miles Davis, The Brecker Brothers, the Crusaders, and others. Saxophonist Darius Babazadeh blends a lyrical cool sound with hard-bop pyrotechnics, and has performed with numerous artists such as Natalie Cole, Johnny Mathis, and Paul Anka. Tyler Miles is a bass virtuoso, and has recorded with the Dave Bass Trio as well as leading his own group "Preview Only". Drummer and co-leader Scott Gordon has played and recorded with Hugh Ragin, Jessica Williams, Dave Bass, and numerous big bands.
